Internet Wills

We have recently introduced an Internet based will writing service for the benefit of our clients. This is aimed at married couples with children (minors or adult) who want to make a simple will leaving everything to each other on the death of the first of them and on the death of the second spouse, everything equally between their children.

This will is not suitable if you or your spouse own a business or are self-employed, it is aimed at people who are either retired or who are in normal PAYE employment. This service costs 50 inclusive of VAT per Will. It will not be suitable for everybody but if you answer yes to all of the questions below it should be suitable for you, in all other cases we suggest you click here and consider our full service.

Are you married, living with your spouse and not contemplating separation or divorce?	yes no
Is this your own and your spouses first and only marriage?	yes no
On your death do you want to leave the whole of your estate to your spouse?	yes no
Do you have a child or children (adult or minor)?	yes no
Are all you, your spouse and your children healthy and without special needs?	yes no
Are all your own and your spouses children born naturally to both of you (i.e. not adopted or the result of IVF) after you were married? This Will is not suitable if either you or your spouse have children by a previous partner.	yes no
On the death of you and your spouse do you want to leave your estate equally among your surviving children?	yes no
If your children are under 18 years old are you content that should you and your spouse die before their 18th birthday that the child should inherit their share of the estate when they reach their 18th birthday (it is possible to delay the age of inheritance but there are tax implications for doing so)?	yes no
If you have grandchildren are you content that should any child of yours (the parent of your grandchild) die before you, that childs share of your estate should go to his or her children (i.e. your grandchildren)?	yes no
Do your combined capital assets, including your house and any benefits either of you might get on death (e.g. insurance, death-in-service payments), amount to less than 650,000?	yes no
Are you content to proceed without any inheritance tax advice?	yes no
Are your financial affairs simple and are you prepared to proceed without us considering your full financial position and any impact that might have on your Will?	yes no
Please confirm that you do not own any property outside of England or Wales.	yes no
Are you content to wait for between 7 and 14 days for your Will to be sent to you for execution?	yes no
Are you content to deal with the execution of your Will yourself (we will send you instructions, and you will need two independent adult witnesses)? Are you content to instruct us to draft your Will without meeting or speaking to the solicitor who will draft it?	yes no
