Jamie Cook
After leaving Pate's Grammar School in Cheltenham, Jamie obtained a degree in Management and Systems at City University in London. He then worked in Brentwood in Essex for 4 years implementing BS5750 / ISO 9000 quality management systems in a print and data handling company before returning to Cheltenham to work as an IT software developer in Gloucester for 7 years. Jamie undertook more exams to qualify as a Member of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2004 and joined Nick Hutchinson & Co in 2005 to specialise in conveyancing. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in January 2010.
In his spare time Jamie plays the cornet and flugel horn, has his own photography website, and is a keen cyclist and rugby player and played for the Old Patesians Rugby Club for many years. He has entered the Cheltenham Triathlon a couple of times and ran the Cardiff half marathon in 2008. Jamie has travelled extensively round the world and in 2008 and 2009 participated in a voluntary organisation in Uganda to build water storage tanks for rainwater harvesting, provide IT training to the local red cross and teach the Ugandans how to play rugby.
