Nick Hutchinson

Having obtained a degree in history at London University, Nick undertook five more years of exams and training to qualify as a solicitor in 1981. He worked in London for some years, gaining extensive experience in leasehold and commercial property, before deciding to move to Cheltenham with his family in 1986. He set up Nick Hutchinson & Co in 1990 as a predominantly conveyancing practice in the teeth of a major housing recession, on the basis that things could only get better!

Nick has continued to specialise in property, but also has extensive experience in the administration of estates and general company and commercial law. Out of the office, when not pitting his limited DIY skills against the demands of his 160-year-old house, Nick enjoys travelling in France, walking, reading (preferably accompanied by a glass of wine), discovering country pubs, and watching sport (especially cricket and rugby). His own sporting days are firmly behind him, although many years ago he was a county champion swimmer and can still very occasionally be persuaded to don a pair of competitive trunks - and he tries to work out regularly in the gym to ensure the resultant sight is not too off-putting!
